I've been dabbling in some photography outside of my usual reference shots. So, I'm going to be popping some of the cooler shots up here to see what people think. I'm in no way a professional photographer so bear that in mind. These shots are not to be used as stock or reference, cause there is a good possibility that I will use them as such some day. The first set will be from a trip to the zoo last month. Let me know what you think and I hope you enjoy them. Thanks!
Like every other artist out there, I've been drawing since I can remember. I became interested in comic books and the fantasy genre in high school while playing role playing games with my buddies. I remember being amazed by some of the early legendary artists like Larry Elmore, Keith Parkinson, Clyde Caldwell and of course Frank Frazetta. Got close to graduation and realized I needed a direction to my life and figured why not? I received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Kent State University in 1995 and from there have been working on numerous freelance jobs and personal projects over the past 15 years, including the "Return of the Vigilantes" novel. Which, incidentally, was worked on with those same buddies from my high school years.
Other projects include: comic books - Shattered Realm, Chang Fury, Devilface, TEAR Collector, and the upcoming Stray; games - Diskwars, Legends & Lairs, and Dragon War.

If you're going to be at the Pittsburgh Comicon next weekend, we at Luchador Enterprises extend an invitation to the 3rd Annual Pre-PittCon Party! Drinks are on us!!! There will be food and beverages (incl. alcohol) with no charge of any kind! Last year with the help of everyone that attended who did art on blank hats that were supplied, over $3000 was raised for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and we are hoping to better that this year! And this year, we are supplying numbered plates for artwork! Thanks for the suggestions on scanning my bigger art, I will try it sometime when I get the chance, the shadows were what was causing the trouble when I did it before, but I never though to do them in layers.
